Plain rules, plainly stated.

These terms cover this website and Clever Crump’s products (Ask Crump, Dabblebit, Outpost). Individual products may have additional terms — where they differ, the product terms apply to that product. By using our sites or products, you agree to these terms.

What we provide

We build software products and make them available to you. We work hard to keep them reliable and useful, and we update them over time. We may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of a product if we need to — we’ll be straightforward about it when we do.

Acceptable use

Use our products for their intended purpose. Don’t:

• Break the law with them, or use them to harm others.
• Try to break into them, overload them, or reverse-engineer them to steal our work.
• Impersonate us, our products, or other people.
• Use them to spam, harass, or distribute malware.

Your content

What you create in our products — your chats, your projects, your progress — is yours. We don’t claim ownership of it. You’re responsible for making sure you have the right to put it there.

Our intellectual property

Our products, designs, mascots, copy, and code are ours (or our licensors’). These terms don’t transfer any ownership to you — just the right to use the products as intended.

Paid features

Some products offer paid plans or purchases. Prices are shown before you pay; purchases are handled through the relevant app store or payment provider, whose terms also apply. Refund requests go through the store or provider you paid.

No warranties

Our products are provided “as is.” We aim high, but we can’t promise they’ll be error-free, uninterrupted, or perfect for every purpose. Use your judgment — especially with AI-generated content, which can be wrong.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Clever Crump isn’t liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our products. Our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim — or $50 if you paid nothing.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as our products evolve. If a change matters, we’ll note the new effective date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
